The Science Hack Day is nearly here! Here are the most important bits of information, summarised in a handy blog post. 

It’s no re:publica without beats and sounds. When the sun goes down behind the STATION-Berlin you can look forward to an evenings of entertainment and frivolities.

Health has always been a theme at past re:publicas and several "re:health" sessions are featured at this year's programme, too. Here's an overview of the session topics and speakers.

The Science Hack Day is for all of you, interested in science and looking to bring it closer together with technology and design. Don't worry, you don't have to be an expert because we have brought-in coaches to support you and your hacks!

How about a break from the stages and long talks? Come solder and connect at the GIG makerspace or hang out in the lounge outside in the yard and meet the Global Innovation Gang.

re:publica is branching out into new formats with cross-media publishing, in cooperation with the Berlin U-Bahn TV “Berliner Fenster” and epubli.

Stored, saved... settled? What's the state of freedom in the digital world? Mikko Hyppönen and David Hasselhoff will discuss the issue at re:publica and, in the name of F-Secure, will kick-off a #digitalfreedom manifesto.

Once again, re:publica will be mostly barrier-free and accessible – in all things mobility and audio. All halls are fully accessible for our mobility impaired guests. Live subtitling for the main stage will be provided by VerbaVoice.

Once again, Telekom will be hosting the Night of the Startups. Their booth at re:publica will sound the start of the application phase.

The best international online activists and web projects will receive the BOB Awards. Join in and vote online until may 7!
