Today is the day: re:publica goes Europe!

re:publica is one of the biggest conferences for digital culture in the world and it’s coming to Dublin on 7 and 8 September. As CEO, Andreas Gebhard has set a clear goal for re:publica: “We want to explore and highlight ideas on how we can better work together so as to shape a common future for our digital society. We want to connect you, the digital society, with Ireland and the world.”

Look forward to two interesting and exciting days in Dublin. Here are three highlights that await you in the coming days:

Work 4.0: How do we want to work in the future? Eurofound would like to give us some insight – the EU agency has been analysing our living and working conditions. Eurofund will be presenting new results from their research on digitisation and will outline what the future world of work could look like.

Cryptolunch: Pack your lunch and let Jilian York and Kaustubh Srikanth show you how to encrypt safely and how to protect your private data.

City in crisis: Dublin is a rapidly expanding tech hub, but also the centre of a massive housing crisis which is dividing the city into two very divergent realities. We want to bring together some of the leading activists, squatters and members of the tech industry to discuss how to address this crisis. The aim is for as wide a range of ideas and perspectives as possible, that’s why we’ve made this session free of charge and open to the public. Please note: limited capacity!
