Event tip: Berlin Buzzwords returns this summer as a jam-packed online event

Featuring over 90 sessions from renowned experts, this year’s Berlin Buzzwords conference is focused on Open Source software projects in the field of Big Data analysis, scalability, storage and searchability. It provides a platform for Developers, Engineers, IT Architects, Analysts and Data Scientists interested in information retrieval, the searchability of large amounts of data, NoSQL and big data processing.

Keynote Speakers

Among the diverse cast of experts from all over the world there will be three keynotes from women working in the world of Big Data Open Source projects.

On Tuesday (15 June) Grace Francisco, Vice President of Developer Relations & Education at MongoDB, will talk about the future of work by looking at Cloud Engineering and the growing role of AI.

On Wednesday (16 June) Megan Byrd-Sanicki, Open Source Manager at Google, will provide the Berlin Buzzwords audience with leadership training to support and grow their Open Source community.

On Thursday (17 June) Dharini Chandrasekaran and Sherin Thomas will share their experiences working on SpaceML, a collaboration with NASA’s Frontier Development Lab, Google Cloud, and industry professionals around the globe. Dharini Chandrasekaran is a Senior Software Engineer at Twitter and Sherin Thomas is a Senior Software Engineer at Netflix.

Building on the success of last year’s online version of Berlin Buzzwords, the 2021 edition will be more engaging than ever, using a variety of discussion formats and spaces for networking and socializing including workshops, AMA sessions and lightning talks. At the end of each day the conference provides an opportunity to network with other participants via Spatial Chat.
