Ciaran Murray has been working in community media for almost 20 years, currently as Near Media Co-op overall project coordinator and seven years manager of Near FM and two years with Raidió na Life.  He has produced a wide variety of the radio programmes and has worked on a wide variety of Sound and Vision radio and television series including education, multi-cultural, sports, arts and drama during this time. He has been involved in many European-wide radio projects and is the former President of the Community Media Forum of Europe.  In recent years Ciarán has led Craol news and current affairs policies and workshops. He is a former Chairperson of Dublin Community and former secretary of, Croal, Community Radio forum of Ireland.
